Atelier Sukha | Amsterdam

Looking for retail inspiration? Look no further than the exquisitely imaginative Atelier Sukha, Amsterdam. Photographer Josh Eriksson discovered this incredible space on his travels through Europe…

Scroll through the slideshow below.

The first thing you notice on arrival is that this double storey space is almost entirely white – creating an ethereal atmosphere and a blank canvas for curation. The fixtures have been crafted from tree branches and natural rope and adorned with hand-cut paper garlands.

Imagine thoughts and illustrations scribbled liberally on the walls, glass display boxes positioned in a charmingly ad hoc manner and a general sense that nothing is perfect but every item has been artfully selected and placed.

This is experiential retail at its best, it’s no wonder this store is a mecca for design lovers visiting Amsterdam.

“Sukha means ‘joy of life’ in Sanskrit. And that is exactly what we are about. Sukha is a place where beautiful things are conceived, developed and created.”
