Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a workshop and an online course?

Our workshops run on campus at our North Sydney studios on set dates, like Designer for a Day. Our online courses, like Wedding Styling and Colour for Interiors, are self-paced through our partner Interior Design Online, so you can start anytime and study from anywhere in the world, with no student visa required.

Can these courses count towards a bigger qualification?

Yes. Some of our online short courses can be credited into a Certificate IV in Interior Decoration or Diploma of Interior Design, so they’re a great way to test the waters before committing to a longer course.

Will I get a certificate?

It depends on the course. Our accredited courses, like Colour for Interiors and Wedding Styling, award a Statement of Attainment featuring a nationally recognised competency. Our on-campus workshops, like Designer for a Day, are non-accredited and award a Statement of Completion instead.

Do I need any experience to get started?

No. Most of our creative courses and workshops are designed for beginners, with no prior experience needed. Advanced Colour and Finishes is the exception, it’s built for design professionals and requires a prerequisite qualification.

Can I buy a gift card?

Yes. Gift cards are available for our on campus workshops, like Designer for a Day and the Interior Decoration Workshop, perfect for the design lover in your life. You can purchase one online through our gift card form.

Who teaches the courses?

All of our courses and workshops are developed and delivered by practising Interior Designers, Architects and Stylists, so you learn directly from people working in the industry today.
