SketchUp

SketchUp is a go-to 3D modelling tool for Designers because it’s affordable, easy to use and fast. It lets you build an interior space and drag in pre-made objects and surfaces from a shared library. Paired with rendering software such as Twinmotion or Enscape, this SketchUp course will enable you to produce photo-realistic surfaces, lighting effects and shadows that bring your ideas to life.

This SketchUp course takes you from the basics through to creating professional-quality interiors in 3D. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to sharpen what you already know, this course will take you there.

What you’ll learn

Model interior spaces from scratch

Build 3D interior models, apply materials and lighting and learn the workflow professionals use every day to work quickly and accurately.

Build with pre-made objects from the 3D warehouse

Import furniture, finishes and lighting from the SketchUp Warehouse to create realistic models of your interior spaces.

Produce client ready phot-realistic renders

Apply rendering techniques to give your models a photo-realistic feel and create animations that bring your ideas to life.

Our eCampus is full of jam packed with detailed resources and demonstration videos. You’ll apply your new knowledge and skills to activities as you progress through the course, and those activities will build towards your final assessment.

You will submit your assessments and receive detailed feedback from your Educator ensuring you get the best possible result from your course.

Our online courses are self-directed but if you have questions, you can reach our Educators by email during Sydney studio hours, Monday to Friday, 9.30am to 4.30pm AEST, with a 48-hour response time.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to sharpen what you already know, this course will take you there. No prior 3D modelling experience required.

This course suits Interior Decorators and Designers, Architects, Draftspeople, Builders and Landscape Architects, along with students studying architecture or interiors and those working in the construction industry.
