Industry Shapes What We Teach

We work closely with interior design studios, suppliers, recruiters and practitioners to understand what the industry needs and ensure our courses remain relevant to contemporary practice.

Real industry connections

Industry connections are an important part of the SDS experience, giving students regular opportunities to hear directly from people working across the interiors industry.

Advanced Diploma students also work with industry mentors on their final projects, receiving professional feedback as they prepare to graduate.

These touchpoints help students start building the professional networks they’ll rely on long before they graduate, turning connections into a genuine head start on their careers.

Learn from people working in the industry

Our career webinar series brings Designers, Recruiters, Graduates and other industry professionals directly to students to share how careers actually develop.

Junior Design Diaries invite recent graduates to talk about life in the years after graduation, while our recruiter relationships bring portfolio reviews and insight into industry trends. Together, these give students a realistic picture of professional life in design and the many paths a career can take.
