Kate Masters wins DIA Australian Graduate of the Year 2023 and Gold at the International Design Awards

We celebrated three creatives at the Design Institute of Australia’s Graduates of the Year Awards (GOTYA) 2023. Kate Masters won the top award for a vocational graduate, Sue Napoli took home the Highly Commended graduate and Laura Cordukes was a finalist. Kate also won three Gold awards at the International Design Awards 2023 for commercial, sustainable and workplace design.
Remie Collins wins Vocational Graduate of the Year 2024

We were delighted to see Remie Collins win Vocational Student of the Year, Central & Northern Sydney Region, in the NSW Training Awards 2024.
The award recognises outstanding achievement by a vocational student studying a nationally recognised qualification. Nominees come from all vocational institutions including independent providers and TAFE, and the award celebrates skill-based careers and skills excellence.
Double joy at the Resene Colour Awards in 2022 for our pop cafe project

We’re so proud of Sarah Straker-Williams (featured) and Jessica Rayment who have both been awarded the Resene Total Colour Rising Star Colour Maestro Award 2022. The projects, both pop up cafes, are a fantastic example of conceptual thinking and advanced colour application.
Four wins at the Built Design Awards 2021

Advanced Diploma graduate Louise Mackay was surprised to win in four of the student categories at the Built Design Awards. She caught the eye of 40 professional judges to win the New Concepts, Workplace, Hospitality and Institutional design categories using her Sydney Design School projects.
Gold, Silver & Bronze at the International Design Awards

2021 was a big year for Sydney Design School. Our incredible students took home gold, bronze and silver awards as well as honourable mentions at the prestigious International Design Awards. In 2019 Advanced Diploma graduate Vieri Landini also took home gold for the student interior design/conceptual category.
