What do you love about being an Interior Designer?
“The most rewarding aspect is knowing that after all the hard work, creativity and long hours you throw into every project, there is going to be something physical and tangible at the end. To be able to stand back, look at a space and think ‘I created this’ is an amazing feeling.”

Success Story –
Aimee Shonk
How has your experience at Sydney Design School helped you to get started in the industry?
“The level of practical work done throughout the course provides a good foundation and knowledge of how to handle a real project. Aside from that, SDS is very much immersed in the industry and staying connected is such a vital part of being a designer and creating opportunities.”
What is your greatest achievement to date?
“Seeing each project through from concept to completion is always a great achievement. We have just wrapped up a commercial office fit-out for Microsoft, it was fantastic to work on a project for such a reputable company.”
What does a typical day look like?
“Well it starts with a coffee and a to-do list, but a typical day could vary from researching and developing a new concept to back-to-back client meetings and speeding back to the office to get a documentation package out on time. I am always working on at least five projects at a time, so it can get crazy!”
