Deferment Application

Deferment is made available to assist students who are unable to continue with their studies in the current semester because of special circumstances outside of their control that have seriously disrupted their study program. Deferment after commencement of your course or unit of study is allowed in exceptional circumstances. Please make sure you have read and understood our Deferment Policy which is available on the Student Hub and meet with the Student Registrar or General Manager before submitting this document. Please allow 5 days processing before an instalment due date.

      • I have discussed my options with the School’s Student Registrar or General Manager
      • I agree to be bound by the policies of Sydney Design School as amended from time to time and agree to pay all fees, levies and charges directly arising from my enrolment for the units that I have commenced or completed
      • I understand that course payments for units not yet commenced will be payable on my recommencement
      • I understand that any information supplied by me in relation to my enrolment will be kept in confidence for use within Sydney Design School for administrative purposes, and will only be disclosed to external organisations where required by a legislative or regulatory authority.
      • I understand that only one deferment is permitted during the lifetime of an enrolment
      • I understand that should the application to defer be approved I will be required to re-continue in the next intake, subject to availability in the course
      • I understand that if I am on an Ezidebit instalment plan that my payments will continue if there is a balance owing on the current terms units fees until they are paid in full. Fees paid in excess of the current terms units fees will be refunded.
