How to make the most of our Open Day

1 | Be prepared

Before you come to Open Day spend some time on our website – find out more about us, look at the courses we offer and read some student success stories. Check out our Instagram feed and Pinterest boards to see what’s inspiring us… and get inspired yourself! With a bit of preparation you’ll feel more confident to come along armed with questions and a list of things you’re curious about.

2 | Arrive on time

We open the doors at 10am and our Director’s presentation starts at 10.45am. Allow time before the presentation to familiarise yourself with our studios, enjoy a snack and take a look at student work. There’s nothing more energising than to see what you could achieve during your interior design studies.

3 | Bring a friend

Sometimes you need some moral support to make big decisions. Feel free to bring along family and friends – tell them there’s coffee!

4 | Don’t be shy!

Say hi to our team and some of our inspiring Educators – have a chat about your creative goals. Catch up with our in house Careers Coach about your personal career options and have your questions about payment plans and financial assistance answered by our enrolment team. It’s a relaxed morning and we’re all down to earth and approachable, so put yourself out there!

5 | Student for a day

Dip your toe into student life by rolling your sleeves up and getting creative. Pull up a chair and play with our incredible 3D modelling software or create your own interiors moodboard with the guidance of our Educators who will share their professional tips for colour and fabric selection. You could win a free Interior Decoration Workshop when you share a photo of your board in our Instagram competition.

6 | Be curious

Our Director, Amanda Grace, will give a 40 minute presentation which will cover everything you need to know about studying in our Sydney studios or online. Take advantage of this opportunity to make sure you’re fully informed about choosing Sydney Design School for your interiors education.
